It was announced today by EA that the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall will be delayed to an April release.
Titanfall’s Xbox 360 version will now be launching on April 8th in North America and April 11th in Europe, in order to give Bluepoint Games additional time to add final improvements to the game.
Executive Vice-President of EA Studios, Patrick Söderlund, said “I’ve been playing the game a lot, and it is fantastic; but we see a few things that can be made even better, so we’re giving Bluepoint a little more time to do just that and deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players”
The Xbox 360 version will still contain all the mechanics and features of the Xbox One & PC versions such as Burn Cards, 6v6 gameplay, as well as the same weapons, maps and modes.
This is the second time Titanfall’s Xbox 360 version has been delayed, originally due to release on March 11th with the other versions, and then delayed to March 25th. Fans may be disappointed about having to wait longer, however it is gradually becoming less uncommon for games to see release date delays – perhaps indicating that developers are increasing focus on launching a more stable, bug-free game rather than rushing to a launch date; something players can take comfort in.
What do you think? Should developers begin to take this approach more often, or should things continue as they are? Let us know in the comments!
