Destiny is without a doubt the most anticipated game of 2014, but why is that? Besides general information about the game, we know next to nothing. We know that we play as a Guardian protecting the last city on Earth. We know we inherit our super human powers from the Traveler, the giant spherical entity and/or ship that fought off Earth’s adversaries. We even know that Ghost, the Guardians’ portable AI companion, is voiced by the amazing Peter Dinklage himself. But despite all of this, we’ve only been offered slight glimpses into the Destiny universe… Until now.
Yes, we saw the first Destiny gameplay footage a last year’s E3, but the new Devil’s Lair footage offers a true look at the game’s classes, weapons, abilities, and the enemies. The gameplay offers a sense of familiarity to those who are fans past Bungie franchises and yet seems fresh and revitalizing for those who seek more than the same old song and dance.
What do you think about what we’ve seen so far? How dreamy is Peter Dinklage’s voice? Let us know in the comments!
Destiny is set to release on September 9, 2014 for Xbox One/360 and PS4/3.
