EA Announces “EA Access” Program for Xbox One

EA isn’t known for making decisions that leave consumers happy all of the time, but with the recent announcement of Battlefield: Hardline and Dragon Age: Inquisition both being pushed back, it would seem they’re trying to rectify that.¬†Another way they’re trying to get back in our good graces is with the new EA Access program, a $5/month (or $30/year) subscription which gives you UNLIMITED access to Battlefield 4, FIFA ’14, Madden 25 and Peggle 2.

EA Access is available in beta NOW for some select users, with a wider launch planned for sometime “soon,” with additional games added to the vault in time.

In addition to access to these four games, you’ll also get a 10% discount on EA’s digital offers including full games and memberships like EA Sports UFC, Battlefield 4 Premium and coins for Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.

How do you feel about subscription models like this for games? Do you think it’s a good value? And what about the game choices? Let us know what you think in the comments!
