With less than a month until the release of The Master Chief Collection, you’d think that 343 Industries wouldn’t have many more secrets to keep, well this certainly isn’t the case as they’re still making major moves. Just this morning, through IGN First, Microsoft and 343 have announced Halo: Spartan Strike, the spiritual successor to Halo: Spartan Assault.
Halo: Spartan Strike is set during the events of Halo 2 and will see many gameplay improvements over its predecessor including more precise grenade throwing and weapon swapping. Although, perhaps the biggest improvement to the game is the removal of Microtransactions, meaning you’ll no longer need to pay to beat the game on legendary difficulty!
Halo: Spartan Strike will be available on December 14 for all Windows 8 devices and Steam.
