Double the Games with your Gold in April

Another month means another set of free games for Xbox Live Gold members, and this month, it’s a doozy. To mark the hefty milestones of over 100 million games downloaded and over 5 billion gamerscore earned, we the players will be receiving double the games this coming April. For 360, two games will be available during each half of the month, and another two will be available all month over on the One. The games are:

  • Child of Light (reg. $14.99) – Xbox One
  • Pool Nation FX (reg. $9.99) – Xbox One
  • Gears of War: Judgement (reg. $19.99) – Xbox 360, April 1-15
  • Terraria (reg. $14.99) – Xbox 360, April 1-15
  • Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag (reg. 29.99) – Xbox 360, April 16-31
  • Army of Two: the Devil’s Cartel (reg. $19.99) – Xbox 360, April 16-31

That’s.. a lot of games. For free. Following the trend of kind of meh games for the One, we’re getting Pool nation FX, which is cool if you’re into billiards, I guess. The exciting one, for me, is Child of Light. This side-scrolling RPG is one that I’ve been interested in for a long time, but just haven’t been sure enough to drop the $15 on it.

Over on the tried and true 360, there are four games to throttle your thumbsticks over. ┬áThird person shooter Gears of War: Judgement and rougelike dig ’em up Terraria in the first half, with Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag’s voluminous booty and Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel blasting their way through the second half of the month.

Not a bad haul, by any means. What games are the community most excited for?
