The future is packed with technology in Call of Duty’s next game, Black Ops 3, as today’s official reveal trailer shows in explosive detail.
On November 6th 2015, Black Ops 3 will launch for Xbox One, PS4 & PC with an all-new spin on Call of Duty’s best-selling formula. Thrusting players “into a dark, gritty future, where cybernetics and biotechnology have given rise to a new breed of soldier”, this next installment will put players in the shoes of Black Ops soldiers empowered by Direct Neural Interface (DNI) technology.
Boasting a new four-player co-op campaign, a completely redefined multiplayer experience and the return of Treyarch’s signature Zombies mode, Black Ops 3 includes several new features and mechanics:
- A momentum-based, chained movement system that allows players to move fluidly through environments and maintain constant control of their weapons
- All-new multiplayer weapon customization system that lets players create unique weapon variants
- The “Specialist” system, which lets players choose and rank up nine elite Black Ops soldiers, each with their own unique look, personality, backstory, and devastating weapons and abilities
As mentioned above, Zombies is back in Black Ops 3, and whilst more details will be revealed later in the year, it has been announced today that it will feature “its own unique story and XP progression system, adding new levels of depth and replayability.”
Also announced today was the Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta, which will be available on all launch consoles (Xbox One, PS4 and PC), sometime in the future for all who pre-order the game. Head here for more information on beta access.
