Call of Duty fans and players have been eagerly awaiting details on the upcoming multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 even since Treyarch announced via Twitter that the beta would begin August 19th starting on PS4. Today, Activision and Treyarch announced the start and end dates for the multiplayer beta for the following platforms.
Playstation 4 Early Access:
- Beta begins: August 19th
- Beta ends: August 23rd
Xbox One and PC:
- Beta begins: August 26th
- Beta ends: August 30th
Each platform has multiplayer beta access for 5 days.
To get access to the multiplayer beta you must pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 at your local retailer or digitally on your platform of choice. If you pre-order at a retailer, you will get a code to redeem on CallofDuty.com/beta. Digital pre-orders will be granted access to the beta automatically, no code required. As the beta draws nearer, Treyarch will release new details on which maps, modes, and more will be included in the beta.
Treyarch and Activision had this to say about the multiplayer beta,
During the beta, fans will have an opportunity to try the new momentum-based, chained movement system, find the perfect Specialist to fit their play style, get a feel for the new multiplayer maps, and more…. In the weeks ahead, Treyarch will share more details about the beta’s launch, the included maps and modes, and more, so keep an eye out for details.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Beta is only available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The beta will not be offered on PS3 and Xbox 360. This multiplayer beta is the first beta to be offered for a Call of Duty game since 2008’s World At War, which was also developed by Treyarch.
