More Added to Xbox One Backwards Compatibility!

Good news – not only are there a bunch of new games now available in Xbox One Backwards Compatibility, but there are a couple of other announcements too!

Before we get into the other good stuff though, let’s have a look at the new games you can now play on your Xbox One!

  • The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
  • Sam & Max Save the World
  • Aegis Wing
  • Counter-Strike: GO
  • Age of Booty
  • Space Giraffe
  • Soulcalibur
  • Skullgirls
  • Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad
  • Small Arms

Haven’t got The Witcher 2? You could well be in luck – in celebration of its new Backwards Compatible status, Assassins of Kings can be downloaded for free in selected regions! (U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, France and Germany – free until February 5th @ 12 a.m. UTC)

You may notice the list seems a little shorter or missing a few games we were hoping to see soon *cough* Halo Wars *cough*, but fear not, because this may not be the complete January list! From now on, Backwards Compatibility updates won’t come in waves on set release dates, instead they will be released as they become available meaning players will get new Backwards Compatible games as soon as they get the relevant stamps of approval!

There’s also a new page on Xbox Wire dedicated to news, info and features on Xbox Backwards Compatible games, go check it out!
