Sid Meier’s Civilization was originally released in September of 1991. That means that 2016 is a a big year for the series, which is one of the best-know strategy games out there. Not only does Civilization VI release on October 21, but 2016 is also the twenty-fifth anniversary of the series. To commemorate the occasion, the Civilization VI “25th Anniversary Edition” was recently announced.
Available in limited quantities, the 25th Anniversary Edition will include the game and all future bonus content including expansions and leaders, and early access to the already announced Aztec civilization. It will also contain a slew of physical goodies, such as a commemorative coin set and a hundred-page art book, Civilization Though the Years.
