Thought Halo 5‘s updates were done? There’s at least one more dose of awesome coming to the game in the form of September’s “Anvil’s Legacy” update!
Launching alongside Halo 5: Forge on PC on September 8th will be Halo 5‘s ninth content update, featuring new REQs, maps and features!
First and foremost is the long-awaited and highly-anticipated content browser for Forge mode allowing players to “search for, highlight, discover, share, and play their favorite Forge creations more easily than ever before”.
A very exciting feature being introduced with this iteration of the Halo content browser is the brand-new “Object Groups”, a new deeper level of content creation and sharing functionality:
“The Halo 5: Guardians Forge Content Browser not only supports custom maps and game modes, but also the ability to share and discover brand new Forge Object Groups – a new feature designed to streamline the creative process by letting players save pre-fabricated object groups such as buildings, bases, and much more. With the new Forge Content Browser for Halo 5: Forge and Halo 5: Guardians, build and share your creations across both Windows 10 and Xbox One platforms for an all-access pass to a nearly infinite array of awesome new experiences.”
Anvil’s Legacy also introduces two new maps, both based exactly where the game is currently lacking in setting – the Elite homeworld of Sanghelios!
Temple (above) is a brand-new large battleground built with Warzone Assault as a core focus, whilst Mercy (below) may look familiar to some of you – this new Arena map is a Sangheili reimagining of Halo 4‘s Haven!
On the REQ front, things aren’t quite so clear, but we’ve been treated to a few sneak peaks at new Magnum variants, attachments, armor skins and something else entirely…
Keep ’em peeled for more details coming very soon – as soon as we have new information you’ll see it right here!
Which of the two new maps are you more excited to see?
