It appears the release date has emerged online via Sledgehammer Games’ Twitter account, where they today shared an image of a large billboard advertising the game. At the top of the image is the date November 3rd.
The community asked for it, and they’re getting it at last. The phenomenally popular first-person shooter series Call of Duty will be returning its setting to the Second World War in Sledgehammer’s new entry this year.

This will be the first time a Call of Duty title has been fully set in WWII since 2008’s greatly-loved Call of Duty: World at War. It was recently reported that this move was made in response to fan feedback, a very vocal call for the franchise to return to its roots, leave the high-mobility gameplay and futuristic settings behind and return to a slower, more familiar form.
Not much more is known at this time, but expect to hear plenty about this exciting new entry on Wednesday!
How do you like your Call of Duty? Do you want to jump back into WWII, or did you like the future?
