The first and most anticipated announcement of Microsoft’s E3 press briefing was of course further details on Project Scorpio. Meet Xbox One X.
Featuring true 4K gaming, a 6 teraflop GPU, 12GB of GDDR5 memory and 1TB of HDD storage, Xbox One X will not only be the most powerful console ever made, it will also be the smallest Xbox ever released!
Thanks to today’s presentation, we now have some exciting new info to add to an already incredible ensemble!
Xbox One X will be the first home console ever to feature a vapor chamber – liquid cooling technology for the first time!
In addition, this new powerhouse will feature a supercharger-style centrifugal fan which “rapidly pulls in and compresses air to deliver maximum cooling with minimum noise”.
To top things off, Xbox One X uses the Hovis Method, a “cutting edge digital power delivery system that custom tunes each console’s voltage”, maximising performance and reducing power consumption.
Alongside a whole host of new games and updated titles, Xbox One X will be launching on November 7th 2017 for $499! (£449/499EUR/$599 CAD/$649 AUD)
Will you be picking up Xbox One X? What do you think of the name?
