Can someone explain what all this jazz about xbox live being free if 1 million users enter that in as their motto?!??!? Who comes up with these crazy ideas. I've been getting countless amounts of xbl messages telling me its gonna be free if you put it as your motto. I know this has to be bull! And stop sending me messages! People are so gullible these days.

It might actually happen not for this reason but to compete with sony's free service

not gonna happen. Xbox Live is the best service there is to date, and if we didn't pay for it, it would stop being the best service.

It costs an unbelievable amount of money just to keep the servers up and running. So if they didn't charge us we would probably see a significant decrease in the speed of the servers. As well as quality of service.

I keep getting these messages and messages for skate saying "Rate my video and I will rate yours!"
I dont want to rate your crapped up video! And I could care less if you rated mine! I started sending them back with a big "NO!"

It was the same thing when Burnout came out, I got alot of messages to watch clips or something.

I would rather pay for my Xbox live than use a free sevice anyways. You get better quality with what you pay for. Also it is true that no one would care if they got banned from a free service, If they want it to be free so bad they should go use that program on the pc (I can't remember the name) that let you connect like the Live service for free.

Yeah, I'd rather pay for better quality than it be for free and crappier. Let Sony set their online for free. Plus, I haven't even seen one person that owns a playstation that uses it online.

true and also if we didnt pay we'd end up with PS3 online which apparently sucks cause it is funded by the consumers...like us.....who fund our xbox 360 live........i will always pay for live because we get better experience online....
