View Full Version : Bungie Branches Off From Microsoft!

Wow! An unexpected event recently happened! Bungie has announced that they have become an independant developer! They still work with Microsoft and Microsoft still owns the Halo franchise (Halo 4 anyone?) but they now have the ability to make games for other consoles. They "could" make games for other consoles... but I would be willing to bet they wont do so anytime soon... not for at least... 5 years?

Bungie is know a 3rd party developer. I cant see how this is profitable for MS execpt for keeping the HALO rights.

ya. kind of a stupid move by microsoft. Bungie is a great developer and when microsoft owned it bungie could only make games for its consoles.

Don't count on it. :confused:

It'd be a shame if Bungie released a hit game on another console and left us out. Hopefully they will make smart decisions. :D

I can almost guarantee you guys that they will make another Halo game, you'll see. Why else would MS want to keep the Halo franchise? ;)

halo is done man i am so sure of it....i mean dont all good things end in 3? Lord of the rings, The bourne series, ummm srry im not good at arguing this.....but i read some where on Bnet that they said the "masterchief" character is done....

yes, by this they meant that story arc is done. It will be about soemthing else.

Not neccesarily. They never showed him die and remember this is the guy that flips "elephants" in halo 3 multiplayer.
