Deaconblade 360 is RUL's second interviewee. He's a Microsoft MVP and runs Unscripted 360 (www.unscripted360.com (http://www.unscripted360.com)). Again, some things will be off because this interview was conducted some time ago. Enjoy the interview!
Introduce yourself and tell me; what exactly do you do?
I'm Deacon from Unscripted 360. I'm the host of the podcast show at the
site and I produce all the content you see on the site.
How often do you modify or implement code on your site?
Quite often actually. I'm always looking to implement something new to
make things easier and more enjoyable for those who visit the site.
Same here. What made you want to start your website?
Well I just wanted to have some way to share my experiences and the things
I like to do with other people. I like to game on the Xbox 360 so I
wanted to share that with other people who liked to do the same thing.
Sounds like a good reason. I’m pretty much the same. What is your favourite part of owning a website?
Interacting with all kinds of people is probably my favorite part. I've
met some really cool people.
That’s probably my favourite part too! What do you do when you're not posting on your site?
I usually game. And if I'm not doing that then I'm probably somewhere
cooking or trying to relax or thinking about the next thing to do with the
site.
A true gamer. As of right now, what is your favourite Xbox 360 game?
The Darkness. It looks, plays, and just feels so kick ***.
What is your most anticipated Xbox 360 game?
BioShock. The environment and story behind the game really intrigues me.
After that, I'd have to say Alan Wake.
We had a great game together in the Halo 3 Beta, do you play with the
community a lot?
I try to play with the community as often as I can. I host Unscripted
Nights from time to time and that helps me get my game on with quite a few
people from the community. It's always fun too. It's not as fun when I'm
getting killed by people you like but I can take it.
Out of all the achievements you've earned, what was the most difficult to
get?
I haven't had any really difficult ones since some of the Call of Duty 2
Veteran ones.
Any words of wisdom for Ready Up Live?
Just stay at it despite any rough obstacles etc. Keep focused on what you
love to do and usually success follows.
Thanks Deacon!
