Dreamcast had brick shatting graphics for its time. It did poor due to pirating mainly.

That comic is lame.

The dreamcast would have successful if it wasn't so easy to pirate game.

Huh? The Dreamcast sucked...

I know many people who would disagree with you. Strongly.

Also, Microsoft had a hand in part of the Dreamcast, and they took what they learned, as well as several other ideas, to the original Xbox.

Yes you are right. Also if I recall wasnt Dreamcast the first system to include online play.

And also in my view, after owning all 3 systems from this generation, I feel that the 360 reigns champioooooooooon

Yes, the Dreamcast was the first console of the 6th generation of video game consoles (followed by the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Gamecube), and it included online play via a 56K modem; the first console to do so as far as I know. It also had a web browser and was the first gaming console to display in standard definition constantly, according to Wikipedia.

For this generation, the seventh generation, I agree that the Xbox 360 is the best of the three consoles offered. It's only major con in my eyes is the hardware issues it's been so plagued by.

Wow.. So many words.. Thats hardcore, you just blew my mind right out of my face :o

Ya the 360 does have many hardware issues, such as read ring, disk scratching, overheating, and hard drive problems. I owned an xbox 360 since the release date and I first expirienced problems on day one, where it had placed a large deep scratch in my CoD2 disk.

Though I never really had very many problems with mine. Hell, I even spilled a half of a bottle of juice on the damn thing, and after picking it up 3 days later, there was still juice under it, and it still worked fine.

Until about last October, somthing went wrong with my system, I would constantly get 2 red lights when booting it up and stuff. I also noticed that when it actually started to play that everything took years to go, such as switching a dashboard blade, or loading a game. So I phoned into 1-800-4MY-XBOX and they told me that it was a problem with my hard drive and they told me a secret combonation to open up a secret blade that deletes some files that you cant access normaly. (Like a data cache for games, sort of like cookies, and game patches)

Everything was fine once again, until the new NXE dashboard came out, then somehow my system got totally killed, it wouldnt let me visit dashboard, edit my avatar, watch movies, or view archives. So I was playing online in CoD4 when suddenly... BAM 3 red rings *Insert the raging voice of Moppy2 here*

It got sent in, I got a new one... and I still cant use marketplace, avatars, ect...
ihy microsoft...

For me, I'm on my second Xbox 360 replacement console, and I've always had issues with the DVD drive.

My retail Xbox 360 Pro's DVD drive died about 4 months in, and my first refurbished console had DVD tray ejection issues right out of the box, and they got unbearable after about 10 to 11 months. My current refurbished Xbox 360 Pro is going strong with no issues, and has lasted me about 10 to 11 months now.

If you're still having issues with your replacement console though, I'd contact Xbox Support and see what they can do.

Its actually a problem with my hard drive =/
Because no matter which console I put my har drive in it has the same problems.
But if I transfer my profile to another console it works fine T_T

Maybe the dash update didn't install properly or got corrupted. I'm on my 3rd 360 right now, and I haven't had any problems with it.
The software is definitely carrying the system though. My Xbox still runs like a tank.
