agreed. While it lasted it was fun but never did Halo 3 grasp me back into playing, since after Orange Box and then later Call of Duty 4 came out.

I will believe it when I see it.

I don't feel that Halo 3 was overrated. Every reviewer was very cautious with praise. Halo fans didn't praise the game as much. If anything, Halo 2 was overrated (just for being the sequal to Halo CE), and this caused reviewers to give Halo 2 amazing scores (despite SMG starts, nerfed grenades, a cliffhanger story, and graphic flaws....). People realized that Halo 2 was a little overrated, and so there was a cautious acceptance of Halo 3 by a lot of people.

My biggest, thing. All my friends who played were really good. I never played halo 2 so I was really out of the loop. After trying for the first month of its release, it quickly became old, and well for me; hard. Can't stand halo to this day. I mean all the custom games, and extra stuff is amazing. But the overall matchmaking leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. 90% of my games had to be shotty snipers..

Once, RB6V2 came out; I stoped playing halo all together. Then got back into gears, floated around on some racing games.


It's a great game, and system. It's just not that fun.

Truth be told though, I only hate the game because of how good the fanboys think it is...it is not as good as people make it out to be

I gotta agree with Adam (for once) Halo isn't the best game ever, it doesn't do a lot of things the best, but it does a lot of things really well. Because of that it is just about my Favorite game ever (Don't have a definitive favorite game of all time). The gameplay is great, and the graphics aren't the best but... YouTube - Oh So Beautiful - Halo 3 Edition.
I could never really get into Gears, 1 or 2. They were good, but I just never really had the same fun feeling Halo gives. Even CoD couldn't duplicate it for me.
Just my 2 cents.
