View Full Version : Guitar Hero III demo??!??!?!

Guys this was brought to my attention today, that you can download a GH3 demo to your computer and burn it on a CD! Without any mod chips or flash drives! It came bundled with Tony Hawk PG , but it magically works on a NON modded 360! I'm downloading and burning this tonight! here is a list of the songs on the demo!

"Hit Me with Your Best Shot" – Pat Benetar
"Lay Down" – Priestess
"Even Flow" – Pearl Jam
"Rock You Like a Hurricane" – Scorpions
"The Metal" by Tenacious D

You have to get the "Content" folder and put that (with everything in it) onto the DVD/CD, the demo will be where the other demos on your 360 normally are (game blade, demos and more).

I got it last night! The songs are pretty good too! Here is my order from Best to Worst:
Lay Down
The Metal
Even Flow
Rock You Like A Hurricaine
Hit Me With Your Best Shot

I got it now. Seems different, but I can't put my finger on it. I think rock band is gonna end up being better though :)

Ok, you have to click on the link above, then type the 3 letter security code and press download. the file is gh3.iso- 421.34 MB...its easy enough, hope this helps

EDIT: I think you need a user name and pass for the site, if you dont have one already, its free.

Guys, you will not get in any trouble for playing this online...its a mixed media disc...once you pop it into the 360, it should read it as a mixed media disc...just go to your demos section and it will be there...you need the CD in while you play it...enjoy!

Dude same thing happened to me, I'm gonna do it all over again and hope it works this time. And btw it wasn't in the demo section like everyone says it should be..

I finally got it to work and I loved it! The notes are way easier to hit and I like the layout. I love the battle mode though, I just don't know why but even when I'm getting killed by my bro multiple times, I still have fun. The only thing I didn't like was the star power, It didn't seem like I ever had any even though I was hitting all of the SP paths. I wonder if they changed that a bit?
TO get it to work was a challenge though, I HAD to use a 16x disc, my 52x wouldn't work. THat might be the problem some people are getting, and you have to unzip the iso file and burn only the content folder onto it.

No you dont I used a 4X cd and a 52X cd they both worked for me.
I also didnt extract anything I burned the iso straight to the disc with Nero simple and fastest way to do it :D
