Alright everyone, a new contest is starting for anyone who is interested. The details are simple, maybe a little consuming but simple. The prize will be a spot in the series. Taking the identity of the mysterious "Shadow Spartan." in the series "The legend of the invincible elites" I'm looking forward to reading everyone's attempts.

* Make your own version of the Story, use the same characters that are actually in the story. DO NOT INVENT YOUR OWN.If you look closely I have credits in the end of the chapters, you can choose from them. Sypher must be the main character.Limiting is to one chapter long, start it and end it in a couple paragraphs, use metaphores and things like that. Make it interesting. It has to have a Halo twist on it, don't make a story called: "Sypher goes tu werk."

* Make it fun to read, please don't make me fall asleep, have some fun twists and make it enjoyable for us all to read.

* Try to use good Grammar, reading a line like this is not in the agenda: "And we wus all like, WEER GUNNA KEIL U COVENIANT POIPLE!"

* Have fun, try not to copy off of anything, and again, make it fun to read, the more creative you are, the better chance you have of winning. Use your imaginations!

* Formatting is your choice, I prefer different fonts than normal, but use paragraphs. Don't give us one giant wall of text to read. Using colors is for you to decide. I personally choose not to because of the serious twists on my series.

There will a runner up prizes, like special appearances, exclusive previews, and a Q and A session with the author. Have fun, I'm looking forward to the entries. - Xorphz

So you want me to write a full chapter on a random halo story, just so that I can be a character in your story that probably only 5 people will read all the way through?

Lets do it!

"Darkness. That was all that I could see.I looked up and could see a dark figure in front of me, his upper body blurred and obscured by the flood spores and eerie darkened of the cavern we were in. That's all I remember before passing out."

"I woke up suddenly to a slithering sound in front of me. I saw a small flood infection form, ready to pounce on me and turn me into one the infernal creatures that had killed so many of my friends. Just as it was about to jump onto me, a shot rang out. The Short muffled shot of an MA5B Assault Rifle. I looked up to see the shadowy figure again. With a cocky tone he said," So, You've woken up. I was wondering if you ever would." I began to fight the restraints on the pillar I was chained to."It's no use fighting, he said, your friends have left you, and no one would dare come back here and a search and rescue mission."YOU LIAR!" I screamed, with enough force to shake to room." THEY KNOW I'M HERE AND THEY'LL DO EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER TO HELP ME!" I screamed again."That's what you think." he smirked.and with that, he left me to my business, closing a flood membrane door on his way out.

What me captor didn't know was that I always kept an SPARTAN graduate combat knife in the left calf of my armor. I deftly reached my leg up and my arm down to grab the knife. Once I had it I cut my bonds and started to plot my escape. I could see no way out other than that of the membrane door. I walked over, hoping that there was nobody on the other side and used my steel-hard hands to tear the door apart. Surprisingly, there were no flood anywhere to be seen. I looked over and saw an assault rifle leaning on the wall. I picked it up and started walking down the first tunnel I could see. After about five minutes, I began to hear the sound of gunshots, and muffled flood screams. I started moving faster when I heard the voice of on of my comrades. I started sprinting down the tunnel, knowing that the flood and I weren't the only ones who knew they were here;there was something much worse hunting them that they had no idea of.
As I exited the tunnel, I began to see signs of a battle, a few dead flood brutes here, a few flood elites here. I saw the glint of a covenant energy sword. I snatched it and then saw where the battle was. They were about two stories below me, and from the looks of things, they had already been up here. I looked at the tunnel I had come out of and saw that it was almost unnoticeable. They would have never found me. I looked back down on the battle and saw the severity of it; My friends were vastly outnumbered, grouped in a corner being smothered by wave upon wave of slithering flood forms. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a shape move, it was the figure that captured me. I immediately opened fire on him, grazing him with a few bullets, just enough to distract him from my team.

He lunged towards me with a furious snarl. I moved out of the way just in time to grab his wrist and turn his own momentum against him. I swung him against a wall and pounced on him. He threw me off and delivered a debilitating punch to my gut. We fought for what seemed like hours, until I caught him in a slip-up and managed to put him into a sleeper hold long enough to make him pass out. I laid him down, took out some plasma restraints from him belt, and restrained him to a wall. I then jumped down to assist my team.

MY friends were almost out of ammo by the looks of it, and were getting desperate. I snuck around the floods' flank and opened fire. Waves of defensless and unshielded flodd fell before me. I felt blood lust, and a need for revenge against the abominations who had killed and mutilated millions of innocent victims. I began to push forward, trying to relieve my almost lost squad. My rifle ran out of ammo, so I resorted to the energy sword I had picked up moments before. As I slashed and hacked away at the flood, it seemed as though it would never end; until at some point, something in their primitive minds told them that these were prey that they simply could not overwhelm. They began to retreat.

I walked over to my squad. A look of sheer amazement went over their faces,as if they had never seen me before. They were astonished to see me alive. As we went over formalities, a rouge flood Juggernaut flew through the room barreling into gothic smashing him into and unconscious heap. I sprinted towards the beast, sword in hacd, and tore it to ribbons. At that moment, I hear an echo of flood screams. With a boom I exclaimed," Slayin!, grab Gothic, the flood are making a counter-attack! I have to grab the prisoner and then we are out of here! set a beacon at the ship you flew in on. I'll meet you there. If I'm not there within 45 seconds of you, leave!" With a pushed nod, Slayin agreed and grabbed Gothic's life-less body and ran to his pelican, setting the beacon and he went. I climbed up to where the figure was restrained only to find that he had escaped."Damn! I thought to myself.Oh well time to get off of this hellhole." With that I hauled ass to the beacon as fast as I could.

I could hear the flood gaining on me as I ran. I pushed my genetically augmented legs to move faster that they ever had. As I came within sight of the pelican, I could see Slayin starting to pull up into the air.I screamed into my comm"SLAYIN! HOLD POSITION FOR FIVE MORE SECONDS!" I took a flying leap towards the pelican, flying over the ten or twelve foot gap and landed about half on my torso in the cargo bay, shaking the whole vehicle and threatening to bring it down. Slayin must have known something was wrong, because he put the bird into autopilot and ran back to pull me in. I thanked him with a pant and ordered him to get us out of there. As we flew off, I couldn't help thinking about the figure that had escaped. I had no idea that he was at this very moment clutching onto the bottom of our pelican, plotting his revenge on me. He waited until we were on board the Spirit Of Fire to make his move however, and it was a big one......
