Guitar Hero 3 VS Rock Band

I was wondering this for a while and am pretty sure other people are too and wanted to get some experianced opinions on this. There are two very similar games coming up that may be fighting for sales, one is the third instalment in a series (Guitar Hero 3) and the other is a new franchise (Rock Band). I am wondering which one you people would rather buy and why.

I'm taking both of them home with me. I like GHIII for it's difficulty and Rock Band for the social interaction with my friends. So it's a tie for me.

I agree, these are two games that are not to be skipped. These are great for gatherings and are tons of fun. Guitar Hero 3 will be amazing for the different songs, and Rock Band will be great for the singing and drums:D

the $169 price tag is for the US...as far as we know its more expensive...even though our dollar is worth more, theres still french packaging and shipping costs...

Yea, I bought guitar hero 3 already. I plan on picking up Rock Band as well. I think Rock Band will probably be more fun in my opinion. Just more things to do. :P

i dont know a couple people who have Gh3 said that it was decent but they want to get rockband because its orginal and you can do more personally i would get rock band also

The canadian dollar is worth more then the US dollar...so it really should be cheaper then 169.99

The exhange rate as of today is 1.0685, that means for every 1 CAN dollar its worth 1.07 US Dollar
