Not really. There are child soldiers all over the world. Kids are impressionable, and easy to manipulate. While most of them are in Africa, and they fight in the civil wars there. It is not surprising that they are being recruited.

I wouldn't put it past them. Neither side can win anymore, but the Taliban don't want to lose, no matter what... I guess they're getting desperate.

I think I saw a document on tv about that before, it's pretty scary to think about all what can happen to civilians (especially women and children) in a world like that.
