Playing for Points?

I was thinking of this idea that we could try to play games of Halo against each other for Rul points Like my team vs uni's team for 1000 RUL Points and whoever wins gets the points

I disagree. I say if a team has practiced enough to wear they are that good, why should they be punished for it?

How I see that is this: "I/We aren't good enough at this game so let's split up the best team so they can't win."

Your right, but if it is a team that they just stacked, it's different. If a team has been playing together for a little while and has practiced, then yes they should stay together. But, if the best RUL players just decide to slap a team together, just to win all the RUL games, then we should be able to split them up. I wouldn't want them split up just because I lose to them, if I cared about losing would I have played a really good team on gamebattles and then play Moppy twice (knowing I would lose every game)?

yeah it really wouldnt be fair to have the same teams every game, especially if one team is winning every game, but Green could set up multiple teams to play together so it could they could be switched after each game.

Or you could have leaders that pick their own team out of 8 people

Good idea BUT, I think if we had a roster of players and we had random teams and Greenskull or someone just randomed it. That'd be good IMO. I hope to see this come through.

The only thing bad about randomizing it though is that you may lose a lot of points by getting paired up with a person of lesser skill or you could get carried due to your team mates I much rather have a set ladder and custom teams.

Sorry Nova. forSyt was the one that was pushing the idea the most from where i stand, so I just thought it was his idea.. Regardless, we will probably go into teams of 4 vs 4 after a week or two of this. We will just combine 2 of the doubles teams to make teams of 4. Either way, we have this thread for ideas anyways, so keep on brainstorming.

You guys can still put your opinion in. I just went ahead and made it because I was tired of people sitting around talking about it, yet doing nothing.

I find it unfair if one team gets a player who is "Just in it for fun" and is not very good and it wasn't their choice and they end up losing with 11-6, 13-7, 14-3, and 4-34.

It's more like a raffle than on what team you get as many people are aware of the best players on the site and the...not-so-great players.

If fun is what we are after than just do Objective in TO4s but if this is a hardcore contest it should be your choice of teams.

I agree with you, but we don't want all the "bad" players on one team. So if there were some people that just want to do it for fun then they should pick up the left-over players.
