So since too many people don't appreciate good music that doesn't (why is the spell checker saying 'doesn't' isn't a real word?) scream in your ear, I'm going to share with you guys my Idol. Billy Joel. Not to be confused with Billy Idol.
:P
I share a few songs of his- but honestly I can't post all I love because I don't think the internet could take the amount of video links.
YouTube - Billy Joel - Big Shot
YouTube - Billy Joel - Pressure
YouTube - Billy Joel - We Didn't Start The Fire
Also, I can play some of his other songs on the piano. I've played for 9 years. You insult the Joel you insult America.
Just saying.

Piano Man is one of the songs I can play on the piano. I've also gone to two of his concerts.
One of them, see, was in Chicago. It was a weekend night. There was a storm outside. It was so cold, I actually had to smash open our car doors to open them because there was so much ice. When I rolled down my window, there was a whole sheet of ice still there- right where the window just was. You could touch it and it'd stay. Anyways we get there 30 minutes late- but there are still hundreds of cars trying to get in the parking lot. About 2 hours later (so almost 3 hours after the show should have started), Billy comes on. He was talking about how he's been sick because of this weather, but when he heard about the storm and how it was STILL a sellout (not a single seat was unoccupied), he waited three hours so all his fans could get there. That's nice...

I never 'dissed' anybody. Please show me where I did this.

And please tell me how that is 'dissing' somebody's music choice again? Saying that Billy Joel isn't some kind of hard rock is offensive?
If I said rap sucks, that would be 'dissing' their choice. But saying that one music isn't a certain genre isn't rude by any means.

I LOVE Billy Joel.
I went to see the musical based on his music, Moving Out, a few years ago.

I gave him a chance but really didn't like the style of music he did not to anger anyone who does like him but to me his music seems a lot more emo then some of the songs marked as emo today. Also I agree somewhat that people should open up to older softer music but I personally have no problem with heavier sounding bands, one example is that I now love the Beatles music (especially Get Back) but on my IPod you'll also find bands like Escape the Fate and Underoath so I think a good mix is needed for you to appreciate music. (except country (or as I call it super-emo) and rap which I don't personally like since I think a large majority of the songs are fairly unoriginal)
