I don't play a lot so maybe this is part of the problem. But I can never seem to get headshots. I get a few. But it's really hard for me. Any tips?

Start at the body and let the recoil work itself up. Take short burst around the head. (With sniper ---- only for far distance) aim a little above the head. Also it takes practice.
