I just thought of this idea where fellow members can post a ranking or review of another member, say a person is helpful, posts interesting topics and the such and a person can review him saying that he is awesomesauce!

This can go towards members who troll, advertise and do stupid stuff. And maybe you can set it as though you can only see people with a 50% or above community ranking. I hope you like the idea.

it's a concept that is used on many websites, but for RUL to do that would be to go against our main rules.

It's a friendly community. If there's someone we don't like we eventually just kick them out anyways.

Yeah I agree with Green cause what it could turn out to be is users just rating someone negatively or positively due to personal opinions and this could get the wrong people further or out in theory.

A simplified version of this would basically be Rep, which would be pretty cool. I'd rather have that than a rank decided by post count to be honest.

I can't remember if I mentioned this before. It would be pretty cool though.

Yeah, although every forum out there seems to have a Rep system, it works. I wouldn't mind seeing one here. Maybe even as an addition to the post count Rank?

I've spent lots of time deciding on what should be in the postbit. After thorough research I decided that rep wasn't needed. I want people to be judged on their posts, not a rep.

You know how you have a high rep? You have a high rank, lots of awards, and you aren't banned. Done.

Agree'd. This makes people messing with the system impossible. Other than flooders and trolls, and they go quick enough as it is.

well,
I agree on not doing this. Well, alot of forums have it, but really, anyone can get mad at one snarky remark and post bad rep, and really, when do you ever wanna post good rep? It's always bad.
Whatever, I like how it turned out now.

I don't know what forums you're looking on, but that's not what I've seen at all.

The more you post, the longer you stay, the more you contribute = more rep for you, and the more rep you can give out to any given person (ie: +9 vs +1). If you have 500 rep is one -1 really going to make a difference?
The good should out way the bad. If you can't handle some bad rep, go back to the bubble. lol It's a better way to track the good members from the not so good. It is in my opinoin much better than post count, because posts mean nothing.

My xbox live account has 90% avoided..I could care less what some randoms think.

I win. People on the other team don't seem to like that.
