Thinking About Buying HL2? Help a Brother Out!

Ok, so I recently bought the Orange Box for the computer and it comes with Half Life 2. I already own Half Life 2 so this one is now availible for a gift. I dont really want to "give" since I payed good money for it. I was wondering if anyone was going to buy or thinking of buying it will help me out. Here is my preposal. You can buy a game worth the same as HL2 or lower, gift it to me, and then I can gift Halflife 2 to you.
I know this may make me sound like a ****, but I dont really want to waste money...:)
