Favourite Anime

Hello Everyone! I was recently skimming threw the IGN forums and I came across a thread were everyone was telling everyone their favourite anime. Ive been curious if anyone here enjoys anime, so I thought Id ask you guys! Mine has to be Elfen Lied. One of the greatest most emotional stories Ive ever seen. If you havent seen it, I highly suggest it....but be warned, Not for anyone under the age of 17! heres a pic of the main character....Nyuu/Lucy! (split personality)

Pokemon, and Full Metal Alchemist... the only show I cried on when I saw the end.:(

Not to be mean or anything...but is there anybody that can suggest something other than PKM and DBZ? Full Metal Alchemist was good! I still Recommend Elfen Lied...its only 13 episodes long wich is a shame...you grow attached to it so quickly.

Cartoons and Anime are actually different...if you can believe it...and its not the style that matters...Its the story! Also...if childish comes to mind when you think of anime, then you havent seen Elfen Lied...its more mature than 99% of the movies out there...just google it...(the show is rated 17+...youve been warned)

There are lots of different styles of anime, Anything from kids (Pokemon, Digimon) to teens (Negima, Full Metal Alchemist) to Mature (Desert Punk, New Fist of the North Star, Ninja Scroll) to even the Adult (La Blue Girl, Bible Black).

Even technically speaking if you watched Transformers you've watched anime.
Makes it extremely difficult to recommend anything, But seeing as you've watched Elfen Lied which is graphic to say the least anything I would say to watch is mostly subtitled and probally hard to get ahold of.

I wouldnt say that I only like graphic anime...Ive seen Ninja Scroll and messed up stuff like that wich I hated...a friend of mine suggested that I watch Elfen Lied becuase I told him im a sucker for good stories...It just so happened to be graphic...but it also has one of the greatest stories Ive ever seen. I was hoping someone here would have other suggestions? The problem is that Ive already seen PKM and DBZ and Full Metal Alchemist...I enjoyed them all, but I need some new stuff.

Undergrads! Although its just a cartoon.. I love it! I never really like any of that pokemon, dragonball z type stuff.. Seemed too far out for me. There was this really cool abstract anime movie on Rogers on Demand when it first came out. canadian made. Really good stuff; if your into trippy stuff... :P

Mostly it will depend on your own personal taste, I like the action kind of animes like Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho and Baki the Grappler.
