Hey guys I'm back,
Anyways I just received some S video cables, because I want to hook up my 360 to my laptop monitor. I have a S video input in my laptop. But what do I do to get the image to pop up? do I need to play with settings of something?
Thanks.
PS: I have a toshiba Qosmio is that helps...

Not sure how to solve your question, but I was just wondering how much those S video cables cost? I can only find the VGA HD/AV cables, but there like sixty dollars.

Usually you have to change the input source from your laptop. It's default is set to displaying the computer. Usually you can press the "Fn" key or the "Function" key and find a key or something that resembles a different device. I have a Dell 1520, and my laptop you have to hold down the function key and press F8 which has little words underneath it that say "CRT/LCD".
If you can't find those buttons just try messing around with the function key and other buttons, or just look up online how to do it, or better yet... in the manual that came with the laptop.
EDIT:
Oh yea, forgot to mention that S video isn't high def. So make sure your display settings for your Xbox are as low as possible, otherwise it won't show up when you try to view it. It will not look as good as it would have viewed it on a regular TV as well. Since the display resolution for the computer monitor is much higher. It will look a little bit distorted and pixely, but nothing you probably can't handle.

my recomendation is to not use your laptop at all. It won't be good quality.
If you have a standard tv. Its best to use that. I wouldn't trust a game bridge that much. Usually they have bad quality.

I agree with not using the laptop.
If you want your Xbox portable or something I recomend a portable DVD player with a AV input. I've done that on roadtrips and it works really well (even though the screen is a bit small)

I'm not trying to get it portable. I just Don't have much room or money yet, and I'm moving in a condo with my dad soon, so even less room. Guess im gonna same up for a TV though.

try going to media center and click on live Tv (it will look for sources if you dont have any set up already)
keep your 360 on at this time and pluggend in your pc just because it needs a signal
You can do this from the settings too if you do have something set up for live tv or if it doesnt work
Sorry I dont know much about this because I have only used media center once and am not too familiar with it
