The Starlight Children's Foundation helps seriously ill kids & their families cope with pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education & family activities.

The week commencing May 3rd, 2010 was Starlight Week in Australia - a week-long drive to raise awareness of the organisation, and to gather much needed donations through various charity events.
EB Games, Australia's largest video game and software retailer has been a strong supporter of the cause for the past three years, raising several hundred thousand dollars for the Foundation, and in the process brightening the lives of many sick kids.
Through friendships with the staff at my local EB Games store (Cannon Hill, Brisbane), I decided to do my part this year, and suited up as Master Chief for the day - scaring children, wooing women and collecting donations left, right and centre.
It wasn't an easy task - but when is a Spartan's job supposed to be anything less? I endured poor shopping-mall air-conditioning, an O.D. of Powerade and being subjected to random people calling me a "Stormtrooper", "Space Man", "Ninja Turtle", "Scary Man", "Robot Man" and "G.I. Joe".
But in the end, many donations were collected and much fun was had, as Master Chief and the staff of EB Games Cannon Hill did their best for Starlight Day!
The Starlight Children's Foundation exists all over the world, so if you feel inspired by my Master Chief antics, then make a donation today!
I hope you enjoy the following selected photos of the event.
