So on monday I bought a 1400 points card. When I got home I opened it a scratched the back thing off and to my luck most of the code somehow got scratched off by my finger!!

So I sat around for probably 1 hour trying to guess the rest of the code with the numbers I had to work with. No Luck. So today when I got home from work I gave MS Customer Support a Call to explain my problem. Talked to a rep(i have always had great service with MS) and he told me to take it back to Future Shop where I bought it from. So I drive down there with my recipt and the box wait in line only to be told they can't refund my money or exchange which is understandable because the back had been scratched off and that it is now MS's problem.

So I go back to my car and phone MS Support from the parking lot. I start to talk to a rep and tell him my problem and tell him I talked to someone earlier and that he told me to do such and such. He then asks what Future Shop said and after I told him he starts telling me its not MS's problem and this and that. So he puts me on hold and then about 5 minutes later and comes back and says "go back in and give them this reference number and this phone # and tell them to do this. So as i'm taking down the info he interups me and says "let me put you on hold again" So i'm like ok w/e. 15 minutes later he comes back and tells me that if they don't want to phone in and deal with MS and refund my money I have to get the name of there Supplier and contact them to try and get my money back. So im thinking wow thats a hassle in a half for 20$ cant you just give me a different code for the points. So I ask and he says they can't because of blah blah. So I was on the phone with him for an hour and only got some closure but to my understanding, if you **** up on those cards your SOL. But it all ended good, I went home and started trying random letters and numbers since I had about half of the ones still on the card and I ended up getting the points after all. Still pretty crazy though that MS wont do anything about there crappy workmanship on there scratcher offer's for there points cards.

SO be carefull when you scratch them!!

Didnt the Halo Edition cards just have the number without the scratchy stuff? With the titanium packaging its already given; they shouldnt even make us scratch the damn thing,.

I think thats just on 48 hour trials. BTW, there is no X's in the code. I scratched mine badly, and kept putting X's in. The Xbox support told me that the codes never have X's.

That sucked, i always get the worst MS support, and anything bull **** on the xbox has happned to me. and what do i get back another broken xbox and apologies for my $100's worth of DL's

I have an X in one of the old point cards I have right infront of me. I thought a couple of the scratched off letters where x's but they were m's.

Yep how can you get better than people who barely speak english?
