As of Saturday, Microsoft officially announced that they will no longer manufacture HD DVD player for the Xbox 360.

Wow that sucks. Walmart is also not selling HD DVD stuff after July 2008, i guess HD DVD lost the format war :(

Nah, I think there will be an Xbox 360 blu-Ray player, sony knows its a pretty big market and they will try to take advantage and sell their crap to us

There has been a lot of rumors, so you never know :cool: I'm one of the people that actually want Blu Ray :P

bah. I was so hoping HDDVD would win too. Oh well. I guess this makes up for Sonly osing against VHS way back when.

I was going to try to stay out of this but dare I say it. What's the point of the HDDVD for the xbox, I mean it can already play movies on why would you need an DVD player for it?

well usually people that have HD TV's like to watch there DVD in HD, kinda why they bought the TV... :cool:
