Oh, what's this? Can it be? Oh, yeah- it's one of those long lost Friday Updates.
First thing first, RUL has had its ups and downs. More like, "RUL is down? What's new?" and we just recently started to spring back up. Green and I would like to thank you for your loyalty to the site. We plan on making it even better than what it was in its prime.
That being said, looks like we're doing surprisingly well with traffic on alexa (http://www.alexa.com/search?q=www.readyuplive.com&r=home_home&p=bigtop), regardless of RUL's downtime. This means you guys have been doing work and keeping it alive. Also, a quick shout-out to a few people who have just started working with us, and have been making RUL a better community, Zolner (http://www.readyuplive.com/member.php/5032-Zolner-MD), Riot (http://www.readyuplive.com/member.php/5019-Start-a-Riot) and Rebel (http://www.readyuplive.com/member.php/4955-Rebel-Rouser). Without those three - well, let's just say that we don't know what we would do with out them. Keep up the great work and keep promoting RUL.
Announcements:
You know that saying, "With great power, comes great responsibility"? Well in this case; "With a better site, comes better features". And cue the announcements.
This is something many of you have been waiting for, but it's been put off long enough. I hereby announce *curtain unrolls* a RUL Live Podcast. These will be a bi or weekly thing hosted by me and co-hosted by Riot, Rebel or Zolner. You will be able to tune in and live chat while the podcast is going live and be able to send in voice messages to get heard. More details will be announced later.
Our next announcement caters to the RUL community. I'll be starting a weekly Top 5 moments of Halo: Reach and Call of Duty Black Ops. All clips used by - you guessed it, you. Riot and I will be hosting these weekly videos and also leaves it open for guest appearances by you guys. Start tagging your clips with "RULTop5".
Next up, an anticipated feature which again features you guys; RULer of the Month. These are some of our most valued members. These will be monthly live interviews hosted on Halo: Reach maps where you will play and talk. I hope you know how to multitask.
And our last announcement will be as if awards went out on a hot date and reproduced like bunnies. Yes, I mean at least up to 30 more awards. So all you <strike>achievement</strike> awards hunters will be pleased to know you can work on your virtual flare. Some of these will be easy, while others you can only get during RUL Nights.
We do have another secret passed around RUL Towers, but we decided to store this one for next time.
