Best Buy Makes Me Mad!!!

I tried to purchase a Xbox 360 Elite three or so days before the Halo Beta finished (at the time I was informed it would last shortly longer) , but the Elites were sold out everywhere around me. Future Shop, Best Buy, EB Games, Circuit City and even Zellers were sold out. I asked at Future Shop, Best Buy and EB Games and was informed they would not be receiving any further shipments and EB Games even told me that the Elites where limited quantity (I'm not sure if it is or isn't). I bought a 360 Premium and paid over 100$ for the 1 year warranty at EB games. Anyways today I was looking on the Best Buy Canada Web Store and I found they were selling Elites. I am pleased with the Premium but I would have prefered a Elite and I'm unhappy with the Best Buy associates who informed me they would not be recieving further shipments. Has this happend to anyone else??

Err, isn't the EB warranty 50 $? Not over 100? Are you adding the tax to the warranty or something?

the local walmart by me has had three for almost 2 months now..

But yea, I've only ever encountered problems with best buy.

You could always buy the 120GB hard drive somewhere. That's basically the only good thing about the elite anyways..well imo atleast :P

On the receipt the warranty costs $95.00 before taxes (this price is Canadian).
Exept the hard drive is i believe 100 dollars compared to the only 50 extra dollars for the Elite and in OXM they believe there are other technological improvements a better heat sink chip and other improvements.

I payed over 750 dollars for the actual Xbox 360 Premium, a 1 year warranty, Crackdown and a 3$ guarantee for the game plus GST and PST.

I think you rthinking od the Falcon 360 thats coming out with the 65nm chip. The chip will make it way quieter and generate way less heat!

I thought the service was quite good at BestBuy. Either that or they dont know how to use the warranty properly!;)
I ended up getting a brand new headset and a brand new controller for ones that had minor problems.
I also had the 3 red lights so I returned it and they sent it off. I bought a replacement but it didnt work...so I brought it back and they gave me another without hassal. Then when I got mine back, it got the red lights again so when I returned it, they gave me a new one on the spot aswell as transferring my 1.5 year warranty I had left!:D

I don't mind Best Buy. Every store has its problems. I just haven't noticed them yet. Except the Best Buy near my house NEVER ANSERS THE PHONE!!! So I can't usually find if they have what I want, but future shop is right across the street from them. So its all good :)

Ya I know! You have to go through a 10 minutes butotn pressing marathon and by the time you get to talk to someone, you found your answer! :P

ya i wanted a elite. But had to settle for premium. Dont mind toooooo much tho *sigh*

Over all im satisfied with my 360 Premium but I would have preferred an Elite.
