The Red Ring of Death

I have not experienced the "Ring of Death" but I have heard of it and how it has caused so much trouble and how Microsoft has put 1 billion dollars to extend the 1 year warranty for a 3 year warranty to help with this problem. I am worried about my 360 Premium because it has started to freeze in mid game and the game lighting and colours have suddenly changed, but the normal tv has not changed but there has been no Red Ring. I have been using it alot resently and I do not have air conditioning so the room gets really hot. I purchased a 1 year warranty from EB games which costed over 100 dollars. I'm not quite sure what to do or what is happening and I'm open to suggestions.

Well just wait until you do get the RROD, and it'd be nice to maybe cool the room down with a fan even? Also 100$ for a 1 year warrenty is too much, I payed 50$ for a 1 year warranty at futureshop when I got my 360.
