now that i got these points im looking into buying a map pack, i don't know witch one to buy though, i kinda want the halo one for the blackout map but the cod4 ones look sweet too.

It's whichever game you like more, though the cod 4 maps are very well done, and enjoyable, also the halo 3 maps are coming out free. While the cod4 maps are yet to be determined. It's your choice though.

Anyways think of it this way.

COD4 Maps gives you 4 maps that you get every once in a while in Matchmaking, one you barely ever play.

Halo gets you only 3 maps but they will be in matchmaking, 2 are classics, and they have Forge and custom games.
