Metal Gear Online Beta Early Download

Hello Everyone!

It seems that Konami and Sony have released the ability to download the upcoming Metal Gear Online Beta a day early. Even though the servers wount be up until the 21st, anybody who has pre-ordered the game and received their beta code can now head on into "Account Management" and into the "Promotional Code" section and download/Install the beta in prep for Monday.

I somehow see myself sitting on the main menu for the beta for the next few days eagerly awaiting...

Man...I need to work more ;)

PS ~ I know that 99.98% of you don't have a PS3, and could honestly care less...but I thought we could use a new update

They should give you a DVD with a beta code for putting atleast $5 on it...Id phone and ask to see if they have any left

Legend, can you fill me in with what exactly the LE comes with? I read the description and so far I only know that you get a Blu-ray disc with making-of videos. Is there any special packaging or anything else?

I think that's an amazing bundle, and a great way to sell PS3s. It's $499 right?

I really wish I didn't have a PS3 right now and bought the MGS4 one. Now I'm stuck with a controller with no rumble (I refuse to pay $60 for a dualshock controller lol)

It should be coming out June 12th (launch of MGS4)...but you may have to pre-order one, as I can see them selling out pretty quick

Pretty good Best Buy deal on right now (especially if you want a Dual Shock):

Buy Gran Turismo 5: Prologue and get a Dual Shock 3 controller for $20

It's a good deal, because even if you were planning to buy the Dual shock in the future, it would cost you $60, which is the same thing as this deal right here, but you're basically getting Gran Turismo for free (because GT5 is $40 and the controller is $20...so $60, which is the normal price of a Dual Shock 3 controller).

Yea man, I just picked it up and all I can say is that it was well worth it. Even with GT5 being an expanded "demo", the game is fantastic. It runs REALLY smooth (60 fps), and the graphics are unbelievable (almost photorealistic at some points, literally). And with the Dual Shock 3 tied in with it (which you'll also need for MGS4), it makes it all the more better.

Hey Kmac, I took your advice (and I saw you playing it online) and did the Best Buy deal today for GT5 and the Dualshock 3 controller...I think it was you who suggested...could be wrong...but heck, I just got a rumble PS3 controller (which will be awesome for the beta and full game of MGS4) and a free copy of GT5 Prologue! We totally need to play online later (as soon as my frickin Update finishes for the beta...hope there wount be anymore)
