After the Mad Catz Unveiled event and meeting up with DustStorm from Podtacular, we were asked to help him record a new podcast and talk about our experiences with the new Castle Map Pack. It's a bit long, but well worth the listen if you're looking to get a bit more info and thoughts from those who have had some quality time with the maps.
...A few lucky community members got invited to an early PAX event to play the Castle map pack. We were given early access to the Mad Catz Unveiled pre-Pax party and got a first look at the maps dropping on April 8th. All maps were playable including Daybreak, Perdition and Outcast in various game modes such as CTF, Slayer and King of the Hill. Ubisoft has officially released their gameplay trailer for the latest installment in the Assassin's Creed series, Black Flag. The trailer gives us insight to the protagonist, Edward Kenway, grandfather to Ratonhnhaké:ton (Connor). The trailer shows us more naval battles, plenty of amazing combo kills, characters we'll interact with (Blackbeard included), and even undersea exploration and shark fighting. Whaling is there too! Additionally, the trailer details pre-order exclusives for Gamestop. Special editions of the game have started showing up, too; more news on that when it's official.

Every time I go to Boston for PAX East (this being the third year in a row), it just gets better and better no matter how much fun I had the year before.
I was hyped this year, as always, but this time...more so then usual. The above image should explain why.
SMG90, Mcky 126, and I were invited to the MadCatz Unveiled event being hosted the night before the expo even started.
Talk about exciting right? Well, I have decided to do my best to let you all know what it was like and show you just how involved Ready Up Live has become with the Halo community and 343 Industries themselves.
Being held in March, Boston is never all that welcoming. It was cold, windy, and lightly snowing. Luckily enough, our hotel only happened to be a 10 minute walk from where this mysterious event was being held. With that in mind, at around 5:30 pm, we threw on our RUL t-shirts, hoodies, and Halo gear...then headed out onto the streets of Boston and into the cold. The city was alive and bustling with activity...it was rush hour and we had to walk over 4 blocks. We've teamed up with Podtacular to bring you an HD, full length version of the 343 Industries Multiplayer Panel.
Titled "Halo 4 Multiplayer: Past, Present, and Future", the panel covers what went into creating the game's multiplayer component, what changes have been made since launch, some impressive (and funny) statistics, and what lies on the horizon.
Also, included in the panel is the big reveal of Forge Island. A massive FREE map consisting of 3 flat islands of different sizes. The community spoke and 343 listened!

For some time now, we've known that Terraria was coming to consoles. Now, though, we have a release date! On March 27th, 2013 Terraria will be released on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 1200 MSP. It will also hit the Playstation Network on March 26 for US $14.99. The console version of the game will be a pretty straightforward port of the current build, with added content in the form of enhanced bosses and local split-screen co-op.
I have no idea what's happening here, but I want in!
For those that don't know much about Terraria, it's a 2D adventure role-playing game. Players can dig their way into caves, fight off monsters of various sizes and nastiness, and build impressive homes with a large number of resources. Halo 4 Forge Island gameplay has been revealed at PAX East 2013!! Here is the full gameplay from the panel. We still don't know if you can forge at/in the water, but I'm trying to find out with my contacts
Description of Forge Island:
-Forge Island is a brand new Forge environment releasing on April 11th for FREE
-Forge Island is a HUGE flat land map, there are three areas, one large flat area, one medium flat area and a small flat area, the whole map has a ton of space in the sky
-The maps aesthetics is extremely similar to Ravine, an on-disc Forge environment
-Forge Island is big enough to have a Hang 'Em High remake and a Blood Gulch remake

4J Studios, the masterminds behind Minecraft for the Xbox 360, have been hard at work attempting to bridge the gap between Minecraft for the PC and its 360 counterpart. Soon enough they'll be one step closer to their goal with the soon to be released Title Update 9, which introduces players to The End! Yesterday, 4J released their trailer to show players what to expect when visiting The End and the steps that need to be taken to get there.
Along with being able to visit The End, players will also have the option to reset The Nether in each of their worlds to reset certain enemy spawns, specifically Blazes, who have been absent from random Nether Fortresses and whose item drops are needed to create the Eye of Ender.
