Today, 343 released a short ViDoc about one of the upcoming Castle Map Pack maps, Daybreak. This short video will give your a feel for the map's visual and play styles. It's looking pretty awesome, and, at least to me, feels a bit reminiscent of Reach's atmosphere. Expect "Welcome to Perdition" tomorrow, and "Welcome to Outcast" on Saturday. A Castle Map Pack livestream takes place Sunday, and the maps release to everyone on Monday, 4/8/2013 for 800 MSP, or free if you own the War Games Map Pass.

A demo for the upcoming fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us is out for download today on Xbox Live and the Playstation Network. The demo features Batman, Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor as playable characters, though the final roster will include quite a few more heroes and villains from the DC Comics roster, and is set in the Gotham City arena as a fighting space. This early taste of the game will give players a chance to get their hands dirty with the special abilities of these few characters, and I'm sure breaking things left and right in the multiple tiers of the arena will be plenty of fun.

343 released the names and descriptions of the upcoming Castle Map Pack's achievements. There will be nine achievements for a total of 250 Gamerscore. Much like prior Map Pack achievements, they seem to put a little focus on lesser-used aspects of Halo's multiplayer arsenal, such as the Hardlight Shield and Regeneration Field. It's a pretty standard fare all around, though, giving players some interesting personal objectives to try and obtain. The original post can be found here.

Ubisoft has officially released their gameplay trailer for the latest installment in the Assassin's Creed series, Black Flag. The trailer gives us insight to the protagonist, Edward Kenway, grandfather to Ratonhnhaké:ton (Connor). The trailer shows us more naval battles, plenty of amazing combo kills, characters we'll interact with (Blackbeard included), and even undersea exploration and shark fighting. Whaling is there too! Additionally, the trailer details pre-order exclusives for Gamestop. Special editions of the game have started showing up, too; more news on that when it's official.

For some time now, we've known that Terraria was coming to consoles. Now, though, we have a release date! On March 27th, 2013 Terraria will be released on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 1200 MSP. It will also hit the Playstation Network on March 26 for US $14.99. The console version of the game will be a pretty straightforward port of the current build, with added content in the form of enhanced bosses and local split-screen co-op.

Minecraft for the Xbox 360 has been a complete success as an Xbox Live Arcade title, and now it's coming to physical media. On April 30th, 2013, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition will be released to major retailers in the US on real, tangible discs, in that lovely green case we're all so familiar with. This may sound kind of pointless to those who are familiar with downloading games, but imagine all the parents who are a little less than tech savvy that will finally be able to get their kids this "MineCart" game the little ones keep asking for. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge will potentially have a playable demo on the Xbox Live Marketplace by today. Slated for release yesterday, it seems to have encountered some issues, but Team Ninja promises it's coming shortly. The demo will feature playable characters Ayane and Ryu Hayabusa, with Ayane's level taking place in Paris and Ryu's in Dubai. By completing both chapters - available in Normal and Hero difficulties, with Hard and Master unlockable - players can even obtain Kasumi to play as. On top of all that, any Karma and Ninja Skills gained in the Demo can be transferred to the full retail game by using a save file.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition's next skin pack has been confirmed to have Borderlands characters available, but we can also expect to take down Creepers in the shadows for the greater good with an Assassin's Creed set of skins. The next skin pack, due this month with Title Update 9, will feature the three currently established assassins Altair, Ezio, and Connor. Alongside those three, we'll also be getting skins from Gears of War, Dragon Age, Fruit Ninja, more characters from Castle Crashers and others.

Mojang has also hinted at doing a skin pack featuring characters often requested by the community. Maybe we'll get a few more Halo skins? Here's hoping, at least. ...
