    ****SPOILERS AHEAD****

9 Golden Skull, 4 Silver Skull, and 7 Terminal Locations

IMPORTANT! START FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE MISSION, ON NORMAL, HEROIC, OR LEGENDARY IN ORDER TO GET ANY SKULL!
Terminals, however, do not require you to start from the beginning of the level.
Also, you do not have to finish the level when you've gotten the skulls or terminals.

    Hint: Skulls Collecting
    (Skull Locations Video)
If you run into trouble you can use the above video for aid.

    Hint: Terminal Collecting

You must fully "Access" the Terminal for it to count towards the Marathon Man achievement.
For example, after you've scrolled through all the pages of the Fragment, the page will turn into an error/warning, if you wait it will then exit and load another Fragment.

    Description of Locations
I put them in order of how they would be found in each level.

    Blind Skull (Silver 1/4)
    Effect: Lose your HUD
    Where to find: Sierra 117
How To Find: When you get to the area where you see the Phantom overhead (one of the marines will point it out) jump over the rocks and keep following the path on the right. When you get to the cliff there will be a rock over of the side. The skull is on the end of the rock.

    Iron Skull (Gold 1/9)
Effect: When you or another player die, you restart the entire level
    Where to Find: Sierra 117
How to find: In the area where you rescue Sarge, behind the prison cell is a large ledge. Got to the far right side and jump on the boxes, then onto the pipes to get up on the ledge, goto the far end of the ledge, turning two corners the skull is at the far end.

    Black-Eye Skull (Gold 2/9)
Effect: Melee hits instantly recharges your shield
    Where to find: Crow's Nest
How to find: As soon as you start the level, head straight up to the higher level. Head toward the door with the red light, then turn around. Jump onto the racks, onto the red metal light holders, then onto the ventilation tube. The skull will spawn at the end.

Grunt Birthday Party skull (Silver 2/4)
Effect: Headshots cause enemies to explode
    Where to find: Crow's Nest
How to find: Right after the first objective, while en route to the barracks, you will fall down onto a pipe. At the end of this pipe, look over the edge to see a small space a few feet below you. You must simply drop over and as quicly as you can, pull back to land under the floor you were just on. After that, the skull will be at the end.

    Tough Luck Skull (Gold 3/9)
    Effect: Enemies do saving throws
    Where to find: Tsavo Highway
On Tsavo Highway, about halfway through the mission (right after you are forced to walk through a large blue barrier), you will come out of a tunnel on the highway, and see a large pipeline on your left. Drop down in between the two, and run to the wall in front of you. Follow the wall all the way to where it connects with the cliff on your right, and turn to the left. There should be a few ledges--simply crouch jump from ledge to ledge, and the last one should have the "Tough Luck" skull on it.

    Catch (Gold 4/9)
Effect: Your Enemies throw LOTS of grenades.
    Where to find: The Storm
The “Catch Skull” can be found on the fourth level, in the first area where you need to destroy the Wraith Tanks. When you enter this area, do not eliminate the Wraith Tanks (The skull appears when the tanks appear, and disappears when the tanks are destroyed). The Skull is located on top of the circular building next to the Anti-Air Tank. You can access the roof using a grenade jump, or jumping on the back of a hog.

    Fog Skull (Gold 5/9)
    Where to find: Floodgate
    Effect: Your motion sensor disappears.
As you are walking down from the anti-air gun you destroyed in the previous mission, you encounter a ramp (next to a missile launcher). Around this ramp, you hit a checkpoint. At this point, you should also hear a marine yelling, “There! Over There!”. Look up and to the right, directly at the roof of the building next to the missle launcher. There is a single flood form (not to be mistaken with the two other flood forms jumping in front of you) which is holding the skull. Kill him before he jumps, and he will drop the skull down to the ground where you can retrieve it. Too early, and the skull will get stuck on the roof though, so just time it carefully.

    Terminal 1 on The Ark
Start the mission and once you enter the first building take a left into another door and now you should be in a curved corridor. On the inside is a Terminal.

    Terminal 2 on The Ark
After activating the bridge to let your comrades accross the gap, do a 180 and you should see it. (it does not open until you activate the bridge)

    Famine Skull (Gold 6/9)
    Where to find: The Ark
Effect: Dropped weapons will have very little ammo compared to normal.
When you first go into the valley to the right after the wrecked phantom, look to your left where you will see a huge boulder. Use a ghost and get to the side of the boulder that is closest to the bridge overhead. It is easy to pilot the ghost up the side of the wall using the thrust. To get the skull, pilot 2 ghosts up the wall to the top of the bridge and stack them one on top of another next to the beam where the skull is placed. Simply jump from the top of the ghosts towards the skull and land on the beam.
I just did a grenade jump.

    Terminal 3 on The Ark
You’ll miss this terminal if you are not careful. After defeating the scarab, you will head into a large structure. There will be a room with several sleeping grunts. Nearly directly following this room is another room in which you can take two different directions. There is a door, and a staircase (both eventually lead to the next room).
Underneath the staircase is an additional door that leads to the 3rd terminal.

    Cowbell (Silver 3/4)
Effect: Explosions become much bigger in the game
    Where to find: The Ark
First, get a Grav Lift from The structure near the scarab. Next, head up the huge ramp, and head inside of the building (the one with the cartographer inside). Pass through a few of the rooms in this building, and you’ll eventually come to a room with a whole lot of Explosive crates. Right after this room is a Staircase/Hallway that leads to the level below. The Skull is located at the top of the room, at the point where you turn on the staircase to head for the next part of the slope. There are four platforms above you, the Skull is on the uppermost of these platforms. Use the Gravity Lift to jump up to it, and there you have it!

    Terminal 4 on The Covenant
When in the first tower standing on the lift, face the access panel and turn left. Jump over and it's right there.

    Thunderstorm Skull (Gold 7/9)
Effect: Upgrades enemies to their stronger versions
    Where to find: The Covenant
After you shut down tower 1 and get access to the hornet, fly to tower 2 (the one the arbiter shut down). While walking up the stairs, go to the middle part that connects both and there should be a stair leading up to a platform where the skull is.

    Terminal 5 on The Covenant
Land your hornet on the second tower, walk towards the entrance but when you see the locked door, do a 180. Should be right in front of you.

    Terminal 6 on The Covenant
When in the third tower standing on the lift, face the access panel and turn right. Jump over and it's right there.

I Would Have Been Your Daddy (Silver 4/4)
Effect: Unlocks hidden dialogue throughout Halo 3’s campaign
    Where to find: The Covenant
The Skull is located in the level, “The Covenant”. After defeating the Scarabs, and going inside, get to the location with all 7 Ring Holograms. You must jump through the rings in a specific order. That order is as follows (1 is at the entrance, 7 is at the end): 4 6 5 4 5 3 4
Note: After the Truth cutscene defeat all of the Flood before attempting.
Once you've completed the last note all of the rings will flash for a few seconds, and then brightly glow. The skull will appear on the light bridge where you first approched Truth.

    Tilt Skull (8/9)
Effect: Enemies have different body parts that may be resistance to certain bullet types
    Where to find: Cortana
When in the circular type room with all the flood look for a small structure piece next to two archways, jump on top if it and up on the rocks to the top left, turn left and jump up again, then do a 180 and jump to the rocks across from you. After that follow the the rock sticking out and leading up on top of of the original circular room, the skull will be in a pile of blood.

    Mythic Skull (9/9)
Effect: Every enemy on the field now has double their normal amount of health.
    Where to find: Halo
How to find: As soon as the mission starts walk up the hill in front of you and into the cave. Hug the right side of the cave and after a large boulder you will see a path on your right, just take the short path and it will be at the end.

    Terminal 7 on Halo
After reaching the end of the first cave, hug the right wall and you will see a building. Jump up onto the walkway and hang a left once inside. It's right there.

Congratulations! You've just unlocked the Marathon Man Achievement

This concludes the Skull and Terminal Locations section.

    Easter Eggs

    Halo - Hidden Mongoose
In the final run of the level, at the first turn go left and there should be a Mongoose sitting there waiting to be used. And don't take too long finding it, cause Halo is collapsing behind you...

    Halo - Jerk Store Grunt
We all know of the Food Nipple grunt of Halo:CE, but now there is another. While riding your Warthog through the end of the level, listen to what Cortana is saying. When she says that it is 90% charged, you are getting really close. Once you start heading straight towards it look towards your right. Eventually you'll see a grunt on a small ledge. (You'll have to restart from the last checkpoint as you wont have enough time to go back to your hog) Walk up to it and it will say the soon to be classic line, "Hey demon, the jerk store called, and they're all out of you!" and a few other things. He'll then say that if you don't kill him, he'll shine your boots. He'll shine your helmet. And then eventually say something about not knowing what he's doing half the time becuase of "the gas". Well what are you waiting for, go find him!

    Sandtrap - Flipped Elephant Message
When you flip an elephant and advance towards it a message will apear on the UI saying: "Press RB to flip... wait, what? How did you do that?".

The Covenant - Deja Vu - Assault on the Control Room
In the final section of the game, after you "Storm the Citadel," and destroy the two scarabs, steal a Hornet Gunship. On either side of the Citadel you will see two grey beams that go really far back, before arching straight up and meeting the citadel. Use the gunship to get as high as possible (usually just scraping it against the middle section since you will not fall as easily), and then follow the left beam as far as you can. One you reach the point where the beam goes straight up and you cannot get any further, you'll hear the "Siege of Madrigal" from Myth. Although it seams to repeat more than the version in Halo CE. You'll also hear some wind that reminds me of AOTCR too, since you are high up in both places.

Any level with UNSC weapons. - Marathon Symbols Galore
On alot of the UNSC weapons in Halo 3 have the Marathon symbol on them. On some weapons like the SMG it looks like a couple of screws holding the thing together, but look closer.

So far the weapons confirmed to have the marathon symbol are:
    M6G Pistol.
    Submachine gun.
    Sniper Rifle.
    Spartan Laser.

    Any - Puma
On the inside of the back left tire of the Warthog, the word "Puma" is visible. It is a reference to the popular machinima series "Red vs. Blue", where the 'hog is called "Puma".

Crow's Nest - Red vs. Blue Dialouge
On the "Crow's Nest" Level (Number 3) When you get your gear and heads towards the fight you see the warthog blow up and you fight with grunts you need to keep going straight to the dead end (instead of turning left to advance) and turn right to see a marine knocking on a door to have something said depending on difficulty, Its hilarious RvB! Also, different difficulties provide different dialogue and voices.

    Terminals
Terminals are apparently an Easter Egg in Halo 3. Little is known about them, but to find all 7 of them will unlock the Marathon Man achievement. Little is known about their role in Halo 3, but it seems likely that they fill in the player on Halo backstory, give instructions and furnish advice.
What does a Terminal look like?

    Controls
To activate a terminal, press and hold RB. 343 Guilty Spark will translate the text that is found into English. To move down a page of text, press A. To move up a page of text, press X. To exit a terminal, press B.

After the above happens it will load another fragment. Once this happens, read/go through the second fragment to have "Accessed" the Terminal.

Nice finds, next time i'm doing the final mission I'm gunna try to find that grunt. I think his name is MR.Snorty:cool: :insidejoke:. I already tried to flip the Elephant but it's tough, mostly because I can't find enough fusion coils.
