Rank numbers

So what do these rank numbers mean?

I mean I'm a 5 and a perm user and some other perm users have rank 3 and 4? O_o just trying to make sense of it.

My current theory is that rank 5 in the unlimited perm and than there are the special ranks (blue guys) com managers than people who paid for a month or so of perm... am I right?

Your rank is directly related to the number of posts that you make on the site. You are a rank 5 which you obtained when you made 500 posts. I'm Rank 4 because I have 385 posts… and so on and so forth

The whole rank thing is as pointless as the "Community User Level" for any and all forums in Xbox.com/ the .ca
One guy is rank 4 who normally does nothing but trolls.
I was a rank 3 and I said how much I dislike a mod for not doing his job since this troll is around and I'm banned for a week and bumped to a rank of 2.
