I know for a fact that somewhere in space there IS life. The odds are just to great for there not to be. However intelligent life is a bit different, and if they had developed space travel across galaxy's is even more different.
I believe if there are aliens they would have made there presents known by now. They wouldn't be dicking around and doing these scouting missions.

I cant help myself but to challenge something you said here so please don't take any offense:
- You cannot know for a fact unless you have evidence. It would be better to say, "I believe", and not "I know for a fact".
I do agree though, that it is laughable to think about them doing these scouting missions.
The fun thing about these things is you could believe in aliens if you are religious, or believe in a higher power, or have no such faith at all. It is so much more of a science thing than a religious thing.
