I may not have read this book, but I have read up more than enough on this theory to know about it. It is a truely incredible theory in my opinion. The idea that Aliens landiing thousands of years ago could have been mistaken for Gods. The only problem is. Evidence. But still a nice theory.

I'm a deep sceptic that life beyond our own world has built the means to travel across the wide empty voids of space just to reach Earth and do things like this. However I do believe in extraterrestrial life, due to the basic odds of it occuring. It may even have acheived intergalactic travel and we could be oblivious, the fact is though man has only been making noise for about 100 years. That means ony things within a hundred light years may know of our existace.

This quite litterally scares me.

I know for a fact that somewhere in space there IS life. The odds are just to great for there not to be. However intelligent life is a bit different, and if they had developed space travel across galaxy's is even more different.

I believe if there are aliens they would have made there presents known by now. They wouldn't be dicking around and doing these scouting missions.

I cant help myself but to challenge something you said here so please don't take any offense:

1. You cannot know for a fact unless you have evidence. It would be better to say, "I believe", and not "I know for a fact".

I do agree though, that it is laughable to think about them doing these scouting missions.

The fun thing about these things is you could believe in aliens if you are religious, or believe in a higher power, or have no such faith at all. It is so much more of a science thing than a religious thing.

They would bother us (as they have been) because of one simple fact.

Unlike ANY other species that has come before us on this planet, we have potential. We are the most intelligent things to ever walk the earth and these "aliens" may look at us, as a species that is only in it's infancy. We humans have the potential to become something MUCH more then what we currently are...and the trait that will drive us toward that future, is curiosity. We constantly question the world around us...we are always in the search for answers and we seek knowledge more furociously then a lion hunts a gazelle. We don't just want to know more...we NEED to know. It's in our DNA.

Ok, first you quoted that straight from my mind. But the fact is our existance extenda hundred light years from that first wireless signal sent out to space, so anyintelliegent life would have to exist within a hundred light years to know of us. But if life does exist within that range of us it more likely to be primitive and incapable of communciation.

But I'm no pessimest, in a galaxy of 400,000,000,000 star systems in a univerese of billions of galaxies it makes it statistically likely that life exists. And in this video keep an eye out for the blue criss cross ball,, casue that's us. Everything man has done exists within that little bubble.
