So, I apparently can only upload 5 attachments per post, so rather then upload them all on here...you guys can view them all on my Facebook album because my profile is public.
So, as many of you may already know...I had the amazing opportunity to go to PAX East this year in Boston, MA. What I have for you here, is my take on the whole experience and some pictures to boot. It's a lot of personal opinion, but I will try to keep the "fanboyism" to a minimum. Haha.[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK]
- The Convention Center -
Let me first just start out by saying the the Boston Convention Center is MASSIVE. Not only that, but it's gorgeous as well. Here are some specs for you.
- 516,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space
- 84 configurable meeting rooms
- over 300,000 square feet of function areas
- eight registration areas
- 40,020 square foot ballroom
- Grifball Panel -After waiting in in line for about 2 hours on Friday morning and then walking around the floor for a while, the first thing I did was go to the Grifball panel.
We were the first to see the .
Grifball Hub was there and filmed the entire panel, which is now available to watch via their YouTube channel. I will post Part One of their coverage here...the guy in the UNSC hoodie and striped beanie at the beginning of the video is yours truly!
They talked a lot about the different Grifball leagues and what the future of Grifball might be. However, they also revealed a new Xbox Live Marketplace item for your avatar that will be released this summer. Go to this video and start watching at the 18:00 minute mark...it's pretty awesome!
Some of you who have seen my other thread, may have been aware that your beloved site owner, Greenskull, sent me on a mission while I was at PAX. Needless to say, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

However...I will upload these ones. Hahaha.
Okay, now back to business...
- The Games -
The games on display and the demos available left me wanting more. Every game from Portal 2, to Battlefield 3, to Mortal Kombat...they all lived up to the hype and you are all going to be VERY satisfied with them when they are released.
When they sat us down and played BF3 in front of us...I was astonished. Words cannot describe how amazing this game not only looks, but feels as well. I told the guy on the way out of the booth, that they could not have done any better of a job on this game...and I was 100% serious.
When it comes to GoW 3, the game not only looks better, but is a hell of a lot of fun to play. New guns, new skins, and new maps are just a few of the upgrades Epic has put into their final game of the trilogy. It plays almost exactly the same as GoW 2, but like I always say...if it aint broke, don't fix it!
There was so much to see and do, that I didn't get to experience everything...so when it comes to games like Portal 2 and The Darkness 2, I left those aside for more personal goals...like the Rooster Teeth panel. With that said, if you guys have any questions about specific games...just ask me and I will answer them as best I can. My friends did a lot of things that I did not, so I can always ask them.
Oh, and speaking of the Rooster Teeth panel. http://areyoumakingmoreredvsblue.com/
We were the first to see the trailer for season 9 of RvB. It will be released on April 1st, but all I have to say is that you guys are going to -blam!- your pants when you see it.
