August RULer of the Month: Darko55

Our next RULer of the month can be seen quite frequently around the Minecraft section in our forums. He’s done an amazing job hosting a server for RUL and is a great contribution to our community. Everyone give a big round of applause to our August RULer of the Month- Darko55!!

So I have to ask. How does it feel to be the August RULer of the month?
Darko55- Neat, can’t say I feel much different though. Maybe a little more popular?

Haha. Well you should feel quite awesome now! I noticed that you’ve been on the site for over two years now. How’d you come across RUL?
Darko55- I saw Greenskull getting interviewed at X08, and thought “Hey that might be cool to check out.”

I know I could list quite a few reasons why I enjoy RUL, but I was curious as to what your favorite thing is about the site?
Darko55- Gaming with people, definitely, but in a more selfish aspect the contests are nice.

So you have the option to trade places with one video game character for a day. Who would you choose?
Darko55- I think this might be the hardest question I’ve ever had to answer, and I don’t think I could ever answer this question. It’s impossible for me to choose, but if I absolutely had to, then Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series, mainly because I would get to meet so many characters from the movies and games I love.

What was your first console?
Darko55- The first console I owned was a Sony PlayStation, and I loved it, but the first console I played was a NES (Nintendo Entertainment System).

Do you own any other consoles or handheld devices?
Darko55- You really shouldn’t have asked that one Riot. Here comes the list: Atari, PS1, N64, PS2, Game Cubes, Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii, Fat PlayStation 3, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advanced, Game Boy Advanced SP, Nintendo DS, Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo DSi, PSP1001, PSP2001, PSP3001. For some of these I own multiples of the console.

That is a pretty epic list you've got there! What’s your favorite arcade game on Xbox Live?
Darko55- Definitely Castle Crashers! I just wish it had a longer storyline.

So, what game has your favorite single player campaign?
Darko55- Final Fantasy X (10); it really got to me at a few parts.

How about favorite multiplayer game?
Darko55- League of Legends; I plan on entering tournaments with my friends in not too long of a time.

Are you excited for any games coming out on Xbox this year?
Darko55- Dead Island; I’m pumped. But I might end up getting it on the PC if I don’t get a new TV by then.

I've heard from a lot of people that they're excited for that game, so I'm not surprised. Honestly what do you prefer to game on, your PC or your Xbox?
Darko55- The PC, but not for the reasons you might think. I like to play the PC versions of games because you can usually mod them, sometimes adding additional storyline and items.

What’s your favorite PC game?
Darko55- It’s a toss-up between Minecraft and Terraria.

I have some random questions for you! What’s your favorite color?
Darko55- Baby Blue. If I knew the shade of green that I’m thinking of it would be my answer instead, haha.

Baby blue is a good color though. What kind of music do you listen to?
Darko55- Remixes mainly; basically anything by The Glitch Mob. If not that then anything with good lyrics but not necessarily Pop.

If you won a million dollars today, what’s the first thing you would spend money on?
Darko55- A brand new TV, seeing as mine is broken

Alright, so you’re having a party and you can invite 3 famous people. Who would you invite?
Darko55- Oh famous people… Notch (Creator of Minecraft), Redigit (Creator of Terraria), and Dane Cook.

Time for a few questions from Rebel Rouser!

Rebel- What made you want to host a Minecraft server for the members of RUL??
Darko55- I don’t think it was a want, but more so a Challenge. I wanted to see if I could do it. Obviously I have, but now the challenge is to make it one of the best!

Rebel- What's your favorite part of Minecraft?
Darko55- The fact that you can do anything!

Rebel- What's your favorite part of hosting the Minecraft server?
Darko55- I get to see bizarre things, talk to the most unique individuals, and see some amazing buildings.

Rebel- Favorite mythical creature?
Darko55- Elves; those pointy ears man… you got to love those.

Rebel- Best Movie you've seen recently?
Darko55- Limitless; it inspires me every time I watch it, it’s a must see!

Rebel- Do you have a job, if so what do you do?
Darko55- I work at Staples as an Aisle Associate. Originally I was working there for a school program. I happened to be working as hard or harder than some of their employees and they offered me a job! I’ve been with Staples for just about 3 years now

Alright, back to all my random questions! Where would you go on vacation if you could go anywhere in the world?
Darko55- The answer to that question would and always has been Japan. I just wish I knew more Japanese.

What’s your favorite holiday?
Darko55- When I was younger it would have been Christmas. Every Christmas I got a game system and it just made my day. But more recently I’ve come to love Valentine’s days cause I’m just a big sap I suppose

Haha, nothing wrong with that. Besides gaming, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Darko55- I like all sorts of things. If I have the money I love building computers or fixing them, so I suppose that would be my 2nd biggest hobby. However when I don’t have the money (which is more often than you might think!), I’m drawing, more so Pencil sketches but lately I just haven’t had the time.

Darko55- Minecraft-wise look forward to the big changes coming with the newest patch, for everybody else I got nothing
