Xbox 360 Hard Drive, area Restriction?

Are Xbox 360 hard drives restricted to work on consoles from certain areas? I know consoles will not play games out of there zone E.g. Australian copy wont play U.S. copy. But does this apply to hard drives?

The Drives Are Not Region Locked But Some Content Such As Certain Games On Demand Are.

I'm curious about this too, though I can't see any reason they'd region lock hard drives. The only thing they'd be doing is making their own lives hell when someone sells an xbox on ebay or something. Bump.

OllieD was right though they are not region locked, not hardware is only CD's and certain games on demand. As for community games I know non of them work in Australia.
