Sometimes I feel like I'm just not a gamer....

Maybe I'm only meant to play Halo and Half Life.

Just played Red Dead Redemption for the first time. Not a fan. It won game of the year though, right?

I just felt like the control mechanics were terrible. That combined with the fact that you come up on blue dots (which seemed to always be bandits) really fast, leading to a quick demise.

It's supposed to be such a great game, but I walked away from it never wanted to play it again. I think I just hate third person. Maybe I'm just broken.

Anyone else ever play 10/10 games and be unimpressed?

Not every game is is going to please every gamer. I liked Red Dead, but I don't think it deserved the praise it got either.

It's all personal preference, honestly.

Yeah, it's all about preference.

I love Red Dead and would even put it on the list of my top favorite games.

I love me some shooters. It's an addiction. But I love most games personally. Shooters, RPG's, MMO, RTS e.t.c.

One of my fave games is Bioshock. Looking at initially I thought I would hate it, but I loved it.

Well technically no

If your going along the lines of the unofficial awards that was the Spikes VGA's then yeah it did, but if like me you go with a bigger official award show like the Interactive Achievement Awards/Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) then Mass Effect 2 won GOTY (Which it rightly deserved

)

Anways, Red Dead Redemption was a good game but it wasn't great. Sure I liked it, but I didn't love it. Every one has their personal preference in games, and you found out for yourself that RDR wasn't for you.
