In my opinion, I'd go with changing it.
Why you may be thinking? Well look at it this way; it's a ten year old account and you've still refused to change it up until now. Image it as an anniversary sort of ordeal; like with Halo CE Anniversary. Now's the time to revamp it to a much more greater complexity.
Despite the idea being a bit rushed, the name Gruntpocalypse is a unique and creative replacement to the one you currently own. Changing it now to a more eye appealing name would most likely grant you more attention than you currently are receiving.
Although the decision is up to you, my OCD side simply chooses to go with the option, "Yes".
Yes, change it. No, don't change it to Gruntpocalypse.
For me, numbers in gamertags are pretty much always a bad idea (sorry if I offended anyone). Mostly because numbers make a gamertag look unoriginal, even if, like in your case Grunt, the numbers mean something. However, I don't like the name Gruntpocalypse because I think it is also unoriginal. As Halo: Reach has a gametype named that exact thing. Not hating on Reach, just that a game, a popular game at that, uses that name within it.
I vote yes for the gamertag change, the name is creative and it has better sound to it.
The final choice is your own to make, no going back after those 800 points.

I agree with changing it. Even though your current gamertag has meaning to it, Gruntpocalypse rolls off the tongue better. Oh, and it might not have been a good idea to post this in public, trust me. -cough cough- STEV1ATHON- cough-

I vote yes, maybe you can keep your 1138 if it has a significance to you.
I somewhat agree with the above statement (guess what I disagree with LOL) Gruntpocalypse is still original for what he wants he's showing appreciation for a game he likes. some popular gamertags have to do with something we enjoy(ed) in the past or at that time I see nothing wrong with Gruntpocalypse.
In the end its up to you grunt whether you want to spend the 800 MS points.
