seriously though why not try out a new chat system and if it cuts down on thread conversations then just revert, simple right?

Actually we did test it a while back. We had the chat on every page. Forum posts screeched to a halt. It was pretty drastic.

Interesting, well I stand by my opinion that the chat is still clunky and awkward, it should at least be updated to a better system even if that system is not a facebook style bottom bar thing.
