Would you get tested for genetic diseases?

Like Alzheimer's or huntington's disease? Would you want to know if you were going to get it, or would you rather wait and see? I think I would, but I dunno kind of scary to think about as I get older.

well it is better to know beforehand because many of these can be treated to a better direction novadays.

Yeah, I would rather know. With modern medicine and treatments, a lot of things can be prevented or reduced in scope if caught early.

Like everyone else so far. I'm fairly certain that I would like to know if I had some sort of genetic disease. If it's treatable, then great! I'll start getting treatment as early as possible in hopes I won't ever get very sick or even in hopes that I'm cured. If it's not, then knowing that I may at some point, not be the me that I always thought I would be, would probably change how I live my life. Maybe expedite plans, who knows really.

I know it's scary to recognize your own mortality, but I really do think it'd be worth it in hopes of living a better life.
