Skyrim Sides of the Civil War

I was originally going to side with the Stormcloaks. They saved my ass at the start and so they must be good guys, right?

Well after learning that Ulric was a racist and they cloaks were very Nord-Only it kinda rubbed me the wrong way. Both because I dislike racism and I am a Dark Elf and Nords hate me.

(Highlight to reveal) I also figure that during the follow up war between the Thalamor and the Empire that is strongly being hinted at; having the Imperials win so that they can actually have a fighting chance in this war sounds like a good idea. Most of the oppressive moves that the Imperials have done is due to this peace treaty between the two sides after all.

Nords. Empire could have offered me anything and everything I would ever have wanted, and knee protection from arrows. I still would have taken the stormcloaks. VIKINGS! Who cares about what else?! Plus my main guy in Skyrim is a Nord. Only natural a Nord would side with the Nords..

me having grown up in switzerland never really joined a side, neutral all the way

although when i traveled through windhelm even as a brenton i didnt feel like i would like to side with the nords, they just didnt seem like a freindly bunch

My main is an Argonian and seeing as how all of the Stormcloaks are racist buttholes I prefer to at least choose a side that will allow me to walk through their main city, and not have the thought that all of the people there are thinking "I ****ing hate you, and your people, even if you do fight for our cause." So, I choose the Empire.

Because I'm stupid and didn't really know much at the time, I went with The Empire... Yeah

I chose the Stormcloaks, although they are extremely racist, I felt the Empire was a whole lot worse.
Plus, if the Bethesda follows history, there will more than likely be equal rights movements eventually.
